Common Stone-Coated Steel System Components
Shingles, shake and tiles don’t form a full picture of stone-coated steel roofing installation. There are some common supplementary techniques and things to strengthen the roof:

Ridge venting
To help heat and moisture evaporate from the attic, we install a standard plastic ridge vent on both sides of a gap in the roof decking.

Ridge, hip, and lake
Your roof isn’t finished without these covering parts.

Wood battens
It’s an optional point as well. Its installation depends on the design of the roof.

Underlayment
It’s possible to use asphalt-saturated felt paper or rubberized underlayment.

Panel vents
It’s an optional point of a stone-coated system. Panel vents are used for batten style.

Water/ice barrier
If your location has rains and snow, barrier installation is a good solution. This is performed in valleys, along eaves and rakes for better roof protection.

Shingles, shakes, or tiles
These construction pieces are nailed directly to the roof deck.
